Culture of Peace Hamilton is one of a cluster of groups and individuals who consider peace a local issue as much as an international one. For fifteen years, as part of the United Nations Association in Canada (Hamilton Branch) it has attempted to build a culture of peace in this community consistent with United Nations Manifesto 2000. Over the years Culture of Peace Hamilton has worked with many local groups, including government, towards Hamilton becoming a safer and more inclusive community. Presently it provides peace luncheons twice a year; holds regular meetings, has donated a thousand narcissi bulbs to the City Hall’s Peace Garden; has helped build four labyrinths in the city to commemorate peace, and planted a number of peace poles.

Art Forms provides youth who are "on the fringe" with opportunities to explore a full array of creative pursuits, ones which promote self-discovery, leadership development, and an activated dialogue with the city at large. Art Forms is a youth arts organization designed to provide art-making opportunities to youth who are "on the fringe." We believe in the transformative power of the arts, particularly for marginalized groups. Our space on James Street North is perfectly poised to attract a wide variety of groups since we are located in the heart of Hamilton’s art district, which also houses a handful of youth services. Art Forms has one full-time staff, a steering committee who provides governance, and several community and program partners who contribute in different ways.

The Hamilton Naturalists’ Club is a non-profit organization with over 600 members dedicated to the study, appreciation and conservation of our wild plants and animals. The Club traces its history to the founding of the Hamilton Bird Protection Society in 1919. Our early achievements include the designation of Cootes Paradise as a nature reserve in 1927, and the organization of 34, 000 children in Junior Audubon Clubs across Canada during the 1930’s. We celebrated our 85th anniversary in 2004.
