The Hair Design Centre offers a full time program in hair design and a part time program in makeup artistry. We have been the leader in the industry for over 40 years. The parent company owns 21 salons so not only can we give the students a great school experience we can set them up for the salon world with all the knowledge of our salons and 400+ associates. The school has four training rooms; 1 classroom, 2 practical rooms and a 23 station salon floor. All rooms help to facilitate the journey, from IT, practical stations to makeup mirrors. What sets the HDC apart from all other hair programs is the salon floor; we run it as a salon! Students start performing services on clients at week 10 of the program, giving you the next 30 weeks to learn, practice and perfect your skills...making it easy to transition from student to stylist. The school offers students a wonderful foundation in both technical skills and business skills all while in an upbeat, high energy environment!

Julia Keramaris graduated from Medes College of Electrology, Moncton, New Brunswick in 2007, having successfully completed the theoretical and practical (500 hours) training in Electrolysis. In March of 2008, Julia was accepted as a member of both The Atlantic and The Federal Association of Professional Electrologists. Julia has also completed theoretical and practical training in Non Invasive Electro-coagulation course at the Caruso International School of Electrolysis in Toronto, Ontario, September 2008. Chareen graduated from Dalhousie University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. After taking a few years to explore around the world Chareen moved back to Halifax and enrolled in the 2200 hour Massage Therapy Program at ICT Northumberland College. She has been a registered massage therapist with the Massage Therapists' Association of Nova Scotia (MTANS) since 2004. Chareen uses traditional Swedish massage techniques, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, stretches, joint mobilization techniques, craniosacral techniques and traditional Chinese cupping. After additional training she has recently added Thai Yoga Massage and Indian Head Massage.
