Lance Edwards, owner and operator of Haliburton Vision Care, is a Licensed Optician, with 29 years’ experience in the field. He and his wife Jan and their children decided to make Haliburton their home in 2002, opening initially as “Haliburton Optical”, and later changing the business name to “Haliburton Vision Care Centre”. This is Lance’s fourth and last optical outlet. He has successfully opened, operated and sold other locations in Barrie and Orillia (two locations still in business today). Lance is a member of the Ontario Association of Dispensing Opticians since 1979, and the College of Opticians since 1981, and is a graduate of Georgian College in Barrie. Also a member of the Haliburton Rotary Club, the Arts Council, and the Haliburton Legion. When not at the store, Lance enjoys boating, travelling, reading, and spending time with his family. Lorne Kay graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 1977. Over the course of his impressive career, he has practiced at various locations in the Greater Toronto Area, including Markham, Brampton and Oak Ridges. In his younger days, Lorne enjoyed singing and dancing in musical theatre productions. Today he prefers cruising to exotic ports of call with his wife Carrie. Their two cats also provide endless entertainment!
