Summer brings many opportunities to explore. Especially canoeing, sailing and sea-kayaking on Lake Superior and the adjacent Goulais River. Our country roads and local trails are suitable for road and mountain biking, and amazing viewscapes are very accessible on our trails and The Voyageur Hiking Trail Photographers and artists will enjoy the natural beauties of the land; spring flowers, fall colours, birding, and wildlife abound. We have an extensive garden and recyling program, and promote organic and locally grown produce whenever available. Our B and B rooms are in our main house. We have two private rooms - the main floor bedroom includes an ensuite sitting area with a bay window, small fridge and has a double bed and shared three piece bath. Our downstairs suite has a private bathroom with a shower and contains a queen size bed and two single beds, so it works well for a couple with younger children. Our typical breakfast includes fresh fruit salad, home baking and an entreé such strata made with local eggs. We use organic and fair trade foods whenever possible. We do share our house with pets (Cedar, lab/retriever female, Griffin, black shorthaired feline and Calvin the Jack Russell terrorist)- so if you have allergies you might be more comfortable in our chalet- where there is a dander-free bedroom.
