Kanyon Ridge Traffic Control was formed in 2001 by Karen Bertrand in response to a shortage of qualified Traffic Control Technicians in the Golden BC Area. Karen and her small 6 man and 4 truck crew worked with VSA Highway Maintenance, the 2001 Highway Maintenance Contractor for The Rocky Mountain District within the Southern Interior Region, to ensure all of the signage and equipment were top quality. Kanyon Ridge Traffic Control's entire crew was trained in Accident Response, specifically on the Trans Canada Highway and on Municipal Snow Removal Procedures in the Town of Golden.
