Our Instructors' Yoga Biographies The Yoga Space is an airy, spacious, and well-equipped studio located in a new building on the North West corner of Fraser and 27th Avenue. Our new address is 677 East 27th Ave. There are plenty of parking options nearby. The #8 bus goes from the top of Main St all the way down Fraser St. We offer classes throughout the week and on weekends, starting at 6:30 am and ending at 10:45 pm. The Yoga Space has been the venue for national and international workshops, most often sponsored and organized by the Iyengar Yoga Association of B. On such occasions students and teachers have the opportunity to study with senior teachers from other regions/countries. The Yoga Space teachers have all had a long and thorough training and are current members of B. S Iyengar Yoga Association of B. as well as the Iyengar Yoga Association of Canada.iyengaryogacanada.ca The Yoga Space offers classes for students of all levels with a variety of different needs; from beginners to advanced practitioners. All are welcome. Classes have been offered to healthy beginner, seniors, children, teens, corporate groups, pregnant and post-natal women, special needs groups/individuals, people with back problems/MS, and for those who require gentle/restorative work. On occasion a series of early morning classes (this practice is called a Sadhana) is offered from 6:45am - 8am. The majority of classes are for healthy students between 8 and 108. Three gentle classes are offered to accommodate students who need adapted poses. Class sizes vary. A beginners' class or special classes may be as small as having six people. Other ongoing active classes may accommodate thirty people comfortably.
