Wrayton Transport Ltd, Langley, BC

Eddie and Jamie Wrayton started hay hauling over 20 years ago! In 1986 they started James B. and Co. Feed Sales. At that time they primarily supplied hay, straw and oats to the horseman at Hastings Park Race Course (back when it was still Exhibition Park). When Jamie decided to move his family to Alberta, the brothers dissolved James B. and Co. But old habits die hard. Eddie and Tamara started Wrayton Transport in 2005 when looking for a quality supply of hay for their own horses. Eddie thought the easiest thing would be to head to Keremeos to get a load of hay himself. That load of hay never did make it to the barn, it was sold long before the truck arrived back in Langley. And they have not stopped hauling since. While Wrayton Transport primarily hauls hay, they are also a general freight carrier. They haul lumber and other building materials mainly in BC and Alberta, however they have gone as far afield as Texas, Yellowknife NWT and Saskatchewan. The owners and crew at Wrayton Transport are first and foremost a family, and a horse family at that.
