West Shore Driving School uses a Volkswagen Jetta and Honda Civic for all of our driving lessons. Both are safe cars that are easy to drive and park. You can be confidant in choosing our driving school because our instructor is licensed under the Motor Vehicle Act, is fully bonded, and has over 40 years of professional driving experience. About The Instructors Our qualified team of ICBC-certified instructors has the skills, knowledge, and experience to teach you the rules of the road and the best strategies for driving safely. Anne LaRocque has been teaching as a GLP certified driving instructor for over 8 years working for much larger schools before Westshore, but continues to deliver the same standard of excellent instruction at a fairer price. Before serving as a driving instructor, Anne was a top salesperson in the alarm and Auto businesses, worked as a district manager for Avon, owned her own business and has traveled all over the world. Anne is of Scottish and Irish heritage, though she grew up in Vancouver, and is now married with 2 children and 3 grandchildren. She loves her job and enjoys the diversity of clients she gets the privilege of meeting and teaching. David is a GLP certified instructor and has been driving in both Europe and North America for 30 years. He has a 15-year experience teaching young adults at BC universities. David is a dedicated and student-centered instructor who also happens to be bilingual. He enjoys working for a driving school that focuses on a more personalized approach to driver training. When he is not behind the wheel, David is either riding his mountain bike or walking his long-haired sheepdogs. Meet the Graduates!
