VACS is a 100% Canadian owned and operated calibration service which has been in business for 30 years, during which we have developed a strong business relationship with our clients across North America. In 1994, VACS was the first in Canada to be accredited to ISO Guide 25 for Force Calibrations (ASTM E4 “Standard Practices for Force Verification of Testing Machines”). Since then we have achieved the highest international accreditation, ISO 17025 “Competence of Calibration and Testing Laboratories”. VACS Ltd. is a accredited by the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board/ACLASS. ACLASS is a signatory to the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) MRA ( www.org ). In addition, ACLASS has signed the Asia-Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC) and the Inter-American Accreditation Cooperation (IAAC) MRAs. APLAC and IAAC are two of the recognized regions of ILAC. Over the years VACS has expanded its scope of accreditation to cover calibration fields in Force, Pressure, Torque, Hardness, Mass (Weights), Balances and Scales, Temperature, Humidity and Dimensional. Our technical staff are dedicated Metrologists with formal post secondary diplomas in Electrical, Hydraulic, Mechanical, Materials, Physics and Software Development technologies.
