That’s how Paul and Eva Jannetta turned Urban Fare Catering into a fixture on the food landscape in Toronto for more than 15 years. During that time, they have developed a core of ongoing corporate clients - some, like TD Bank, that date back to Urban Fare’s first year in operation. Along the way, they have earned a reputation - not just for the combination of fresh quality and an eclectic palette, but also for its artistic presentation. Those characteristics are on full display both in the catering fare and at the food shop that has become a familiar destination for foodies across this city. Urban Fare Catering and Food Shop has been in operation since October 1996. Paul grew up in a family-run food business and built on that history and passion to drive his own business. Paul brings his wealth of experience in menu planning, event design and catering to the needs of his guests. Eva’s background is in design and décor, and this is reflected in the comfortable and cozy food shop café that you will find when visiting. If you live in the area, you might remember Urban Fare’s Food Shop as the old Careful Cleaners building on Bathurst Street south of St. Clair Avenue. Their prepared counter is the perfect spot for healthy prepared food items and gifts and is a favourite to the residents of Forest Hill, Wychwood Park and Hillcrest. Today, Urban Fare Catering is a sizeable enterprise, with more than 35 employees and four separate kitchens. The staff continues to ‘wow’ customers as they cook up Urban Fare food delights by fusing traditional flavours and together they have created a team whose expertise in the food industry are what make Urban Fare Catering the successful operation it is today.
