We are a full-service agency, working on behalf of our clients on contracts, foreign rights, book to tv/film and subsidiary rights. Launched 20 years ago by literary agents David and Lynn Bennett, the Transatlantic family is a vibrant collective of tenacious, independent publishing professionals with diverse backgrounds and specialties. With our strengths combined, we represent more than 250 bestselling and award-winning American and Canadian clients, selling their work directly to publishers in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
We work collaboratively with our valued co-agents in 28 foreign-language territories and film agents in Toronto, New York and Los Angeles. We regularly travel to book fairs including Frankfurt, London and Bologna, and to wherever book publishing professionals gather. We also represent foreign rights for a select group of quality independent publishers, including Drawn & Quarterly, Orca Book Publishers, Freehand Books and Islandport Press.
