Toronto Aboriginal Support Services Council

TASSC is the leading not-for-profit research, policy, and advocacy organization that addresses the social determinants of health to improve and enhance the socio-economic prospects and cultural well-being of Aboriginal peoples living in the City of Toronto. In May 2011, TASSA incorporated and became TASSC, a name more suited to the services TASSC’s member organizations provide. TASSC released the TARP: Final Report in November 2011, which is important because it provides a picture of the current situation, aspirations, and challenges facing Aboriginal peoples in the City of Toronto. One of TASSC’s objectives is to implement the report’s recommendations though consultation and collaboration.
