The Toy Trove, St. Catharines, ON

The Toy Trove was established in October 2010 as an online store specializing in harder-to-find collectible toys. By November 2011, we opened a brick and mortar store in downtown St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.
My name is Todd Graves, and I am the owner of The Toy Trove. I originally came up with the idea for the store when I worked at a local video game store in Ontario, and realized that I had a lot of customers requesting video game related toys and collectibles that our store just didn't carry. So I did a little research online and found that there were very few online toy stores in Canada that carried the products these customers (and myself) were interested in. So, I decided to open my own store that catered to the toy collectors. From there, the store branched out to board games, trading card games, miniature games, models, RC toys... and we're still expanding.
In the first year operating the downtown store, we started with a 600 square foot store front. About half way through the year, we started hosting events for Magic The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh. By the end of our first year, these events were so big that we had to expand our store into the unit next door, adding a 1, 500 square foot game room. The Toy Trove now hosts multiple events a week, with a wider variety of games including Pokemon, Cardfight Vanguard, and Warmachine.

Our store has been rapidly expanding over the past few years, and we now list thousands of different toys and games great for all ages. Of course, we still carry those hard-to-find items, so if you don't see what you're looking for - just ask.
