In the winter of 2013 Diana Liptak was talking about their experiences with security companies, individuals and the overall lack of “what we actually need”. Diana Liptak owns a production company and her studios are in the downtown core of Calgary, Alberta. They are apt to a lot of vagrancy and homelessness. She and the owners of the building in which she leased, made a decision to utilize a security company to crack down on the issues they were having. As Diana stayed late nights quite often she figured doing?this would bring her some peace about being there at late hours. On plenty of occasions she would leave to find vagrants still snooping in the garbage as well as attempting to enter the building. This left her feeling a little frightened and uneasy and she eventually decided to work from home.
