Tatami Imports Inc. main operations is centered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and we maintain an office in Fukuyama City in Hiroshima Prefecture. We specialise in Japanese tatami mats and traditional Japanese furnishings and accessories. All our products are Made In Japan with the possible exception of the chabudai, which is Made In Canada. Our tatami mats are made by traditional second and third generation tatami craftsmen who are able to create tatami mats entirely by hand. We think this is important because it provides an ability to understand the difference between what machines can do and what a craftsman can create. Through them lies our assurance and confidence that all the tatami mats we carry are of the best quality and workmanship. Our entire line of products offered for sale are Made In Japan . Our close relationship with all the manufacturers of the different products we offer ensure a level of quality and trust most other retailers cannot guarantee.
