My educational background includes a Master's Degree Diploma in Psychosocial Intervention and Psychotherapy, B.A. in Psychology and graduate study certificate in Trauma Counseling. I have also completed an extensive training as an Associate Sex Addiction Therapist provided by the International Institute for Trauma & Addiction Professionals.
Prior to my private practice in Kelowna, my most recent experience was at the Community Mental Health Centre in Fort McMurray, Alberta where I worked with clients of all ages in individual, group and family settings. I had the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients, including individuals living with mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, sex addiction, OCD, ADHD, and personality disorders. I was involved in providing Suicidal Intervention Services to remote communities as well as Social Skills trainings to adolescents.
Being passionate about psychology and practicing as a Psychologist, my goal is to help individuals discover their strengths and inner resourcefulness, explain basic psychological knowledge and principles about personality, relationships, communication, conflicts, stress management, anxiety and similar topics, but most importantly help apply some of these principles to real life.
