St Pauls Lutheran Church, Richmond Hill, ON

St. Paul's Lutheran Church was organized on January 21, 1962 and has brought the Word of God to the people of Richmond Hill and surrounding area since that time. We celebrated our 50th anniversary last year, and we were blessed to have several founding members of our church in attendance and celebrating with us. More on the history of St. Paul's.. We believe that God, as He was personified in the birth, death, and resurrection of His son, Jesus Christ, loves all people equally and longs for all to come to Him, as a child turns to its Father or Mother, for consolation, guidance, and forgiveness. Our children are very much a part of everything that we do at St. Paul's. Although we are a small church, we offer a Sunday School program where children do crafts and have fun while studying. The kids also help out during worship services and church events. Paul's Choir always welcomes new members. Ingrid Takahashi, our organist and choir director, is a well known and accomplished musician who plays the organ, flute, and harp. A Community Garden on the church property provides an opportunity both for our members as well as our neighbors to enjoy the experience of gardening and growing their own vegetables. Gardening is a great family activity, and we enjoy meeting many members of our community through the garden program. We also hold an annual barbecue for all gardeners. More on the community garden..
