From start to finish I had an amazing experience. From the ease of the online booking system, the quick reply from the artist, and the coordination of the fantastic Nicole. Nicole was diligent about following up with me at all stages and addressing my many questions. I choose Pia as the artist I wanted to work with after checking out reviews and samples online of the artists’ work. Don’t get me wrong, they all do FANTASTIC work. Pia had a couple tattoos with writing and elements that I was looking for. The sharp lines in her writing were impressive. My tattoo consisted mostly of writing (name, date), and 2 images (dog prints). I sent Pia the design I created in a word document using an Edwardian font. Of course nothing was lined up. Pia took that design, lined up all the elements and suggested a change to one of the letters. At first, I wasn’t sure about the change. When I got to the studio and saw the actual stencil with the change, I loved it! Pia is very meticulous and has an amazing eye for detail. Some of the lettering was tight with small loops. I was expecting a few spots not to show detail. I was so wrong. Pia is a true artist and captured every curve, swerve, and loop! I would 100% recommend Sin on Skin, and 110% recommend Pia, especially for very detailed and fine line work. I am not posting a picture right now as it would not reflect the true detail due to the red and swelling from being a fresh tattoo.

Our shop has been in downtown Halifax area since 1998, prior to Sin on Skin we had been known as Skintastic Tattoo Studio. It was one of the oldest studios in Halifax and the first and only shop to ever be certified (inspected) as well as recommended by the Board of Health. At that time and in the present, we hold our standards higher, guaranteeing we are a safe tattoo studio. Artists offer free consultations to clients, so come by with your questions/ideas. The majority of tattoos we do are custom, we do not charge any extra fees to design or customize your tattoo. We do however guarantee a lifelong addiction to our work. Come down and meet our artists anytime, they'll be more then happy to guide you on your path to tattoo perfection.
