M. Normand Langelier et M. Mario Da Silva In 1963, Mr. Antonio Pereira founded the insurance brokerage firm Pereira Insurance. Then located on the Avenue de l’Hotel de Ville near Rachel, it provide insurance and services to the numerous Portuguese that came to work in the many projects under construction in Quebec. In 1982 Mr. Mario Da Silva founded the Silva Insurance brokerage firm. Then located on Saint Dominique Street, Mr. Da Silva is engaged primarily in commercial insurance and life insurance. In 1992, Mr. Normand Langelier joined Assurances Silva. Two years later, the two firms Silva and Pereira merge to form Silva, Langelier & Pereira (SLP). The offices are then combined in the Napoleon Street building in the heart of Plateau Mont-Royal. Although SLP has always maintained a loyal Portugueseclientele, the demographic change of the Plateau Mont-Royal has naturally led to a diversification of its customers. Jassure.ca is created in 2008 to provide homes and automobiles online insurance quote for this new clientele. Since most insurers were hesitant toward the area, SLP has developed an expertise in special risk and non-standard insurance. In 2010, SLP adds the marketing of special risks to the Jassure.ca site to make this expertise available throughout Quebec.
