SafeWork Engineering Services Inc. (SESI) is an engineering firm located in Southwestern Ontario. We are authorized by Professional Engineers Ontario to offer professional engineering services to the public. Our team provides risk assessments, industrial safety system design reviews, and compliance evaluations of machinery and processes to ensure that they satisfy the requirements of the Ontario Ministry of Labour Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulation 851 for Industrial Establishments which includes the requirement for Pre-Start Health and Safety Reviews. Our team also carries out engineering reviews to satisfy Ontario Ministry of Labour 54.1 (k) Orders. Our goal is to provide recommendations for safe, reliable, and effective solutions for machine guarding and safety controls which comply with current applicable safety regulations and machine safety standards. This approach will help the machine owner to reduce the possibility of workers being injured on the machine to the extent practicable. SESI was founded in 2007 by working partners Peter Michels, P., and Christopher Ellis, P. who have a combined work experience of over 50 years in machinery safety. We have specialized in providing our customers in Canada, the United States, and Europe with a wide range of professional safety engineering services for machine safety. SESI has an extensive network of working relationships with other firms that can provide complementary safety related services and these may be utilized for certain tasks on projects. These firms form part of the team approach that we can bring to a project.
