With state-of-the-art technology, Re-Glycol Ltd. is poised to launch the glycol re-manufacturing industry for good in Western Canada.
Offering products for the automotive and industrial engine coolant sector as well as providing both EG and TEG products for natural gas production, Re-Glycol Ltd. looks to bring an environmentally responsible approach to re-manufacturing these waste fluids.
Currently, downhole disposal of automotive waste coolants is the only acceptable method for disposing of used antifreeze. However, the molecular integrity of waste antifreeze is still intact, the fluid has an infinite life if properly maintained. Re-Glycol Ltd. has refined a process utilizing closed-loop distillation technology that will re-store over 95% of the waste fluid to a like-new state.
Targeting the WCSB, Re-Glycol Ltd. is re-manufacturing EG glycols for all line heater and refrigeration applications. These EG products have been successfully used in Alberta’s gas industry for the past two years. TEG glycols are also available, but as a new product only. Current R&D efforts are being directed towards efficiently recycling TEG glycols.
Aiming beyond current industry standards, Re-Glycol Ltd. has developed a line of automotive coolants that have been tested and driven in Alberta’s demanding conditions for over three years. Re-Glycol Ltd. is in the process of developing a coolant to meet the industrial standards set out by leading industrial engine manufacturers. These products will be ready for market launch in the spring of 2013.
