I helped to take care of my mother-in-law, after she had heart surgery. She was in desperate need of physical therapy, because she did very little other than sit in her chair for most of the day unless one of her kids came over and took her somewhere (which she usually argued about). The physical therapist, came to help my mother-in-law develop some of the muscles she needed to just walk, as her centre of balance was off and she kept falling. She did not want the help, but with LOTS of coxing she let him come in. He took the time to sit with her and get to know her, so he wasn't such a stranger to her. He has been helping her to become stronger and more independent. I feel we owe a great deal to this man for what he did for my mother-in-law. Thanks to the rapport he developed with her, she now regards the folks at Parmedica as her close friends, and she has allowed me to set her up with all the services she needs. She now has two personal attendants looking after her meals, cleaning, grooming and bathing, and a Parmedica nurse checking in with her regularly and overseeing her program. These are truly special people, and I am very grateful for their contribution to the well-being of my family. Thank you for everything Parmedica.

I dreaded starting the process of getting in-home help for my mom who had developed dementia. But, when I made that first phone call to Parmedica, I was impressed with their professionalism and genuine concern for what our family was facing. They immediately scheduled a visit to learn our needs and concerns, and to get to know my mom. They asked about her hobbies and interests, career, and social life. This level of professionalism and service has been just as evident in the caregivers they send to my mom. I can not say enough good things about the medical staff and all the support workers that look after mom. Sorry for the cliche but they are truly "like family." And, more importantly, mom really loves them and asks about them on the days when they aren't scheduled to be there. Parmedica has provided peace of mind for our family that I can’t explain.
