Personal experience through a family member with mobility issues has fueled our desire to help people find the right mobility products to help them live independently. Gary Abernathy Born in North Vancouver in 1955, I have lived in BC most of my life. I am a licensed Interprovincial Auto Technician (Red Seal) with many years of business experience. In the early 80’s we lived in the West Kootenays where we had a Snap-On Tools dealership. Other past experience includes: hockey coach, community volunteer and snowmobile club volunteer. Joan Abernathy Born and raised on the family farm near Edmonton, Alberta, I was taught the virtues of hard work, self-reliance and independence. The family farm that my great grandfather homesteaded 108 years ago is still owned and operated by the family. As a youngster I became involved in 4-H which engendered a lifelong commitment to volunteerism. In addition to raising our 4 children, I’ve been involved with our previous automotive business ventures, operated an in-home child care service, volunteered in numerous community organizations and have been employed as a baker at Butcher Boys Food Market in Vernon.
