Zero star...I lived here for 5 miserable years from 1997-2002 . I was a single mom studying at BCIT with 2 young children. The Directors treated people badly and made life miserably living there. I had garbage thrown in my front door by one of the directors, they watched every step you make; negatively , commented on guests and family that come to visit even spied on when you take the dog out, outside the fence perimeter and tells you in your face: 'I was watching whether you will pick up or not'. Most of these directors power tripped on people who they suspect have low income. I know these for a fact as they on the other hand looks up and favour families: they allowed a couple and a new baby occupy a 3 bedroom unit which is against BC housing policies. One instance, being a gourmet chef, I contributed a huge plate for a potluck and then was stopped for taking a small plate for my son who was sick at home. Another instance is when a neighbour above me left her bathtub flowing and flooded my bathrooom and the Board just totally ignored my request for help to intercede. I had insurance and the neighbour should cover the cost of the damage to my stuff, but no help. The same neighbour would sweep all the time all the dirt from her balcony straight to mine and when mentioned this to the board they simply just shrugged it off. They also said it'll cost me $150.00 to shampoo the old carpet which I agreed but took out double the amount from my share deposit. Another worse thing is I dropped off all the keys fobs, garage/house keys which was more or less about $150. Not a cent was received. I live in a bigger, better, modern and more importantly, a very pleasant coop now for almost 19 years since 2002, where none of these awful things happen. I hope all are now gone, if not, in old age facilities or in mental institutions.
