Together we will find understandable solutions to help you to move forward. Chris Bell and his family have lived in the West Kootenay’s for 20 years. Chris has a strong background in business planning and management and worked for several years as a consultant with Columbia Basin Trust’s Basin Business Advocates Program. He has served on the Executive for the Castlegar Rotary Club and as Executive Board Member and Manager of the Castlegar Chamber of Commerce. His spouse Nancy is a mortgage broker who works closely with KFS clients and the community, their daughter Nikki is studying theatre at the University of Victoria. Chris and Nancy split their time between their homes in Nelson and at Red Mountain. Rebecca Vassilakakis and her husband Florio are new to the Kootenay’s originally from Penticton. Rebecca previously owned and operated 2 Curves franchises in BC and played high level squash across the country participating and coaching in several BC and Canada Games. She moved to Castlegar to support Florio with his family business the Element Club Bar Grill. They are proud parents of their newborn son Niko! The “K” in KFS is for our founders - Bernie and Marlene Krueckl were the keys to our success, working in the financial industry for 18 years. They led our firm for many years and developed the strong relationships that are the foundation to our practice - today KFS works with more than 350 families across the Kootenay’s. Bernie and Marlene maintain a home in Castlegar but enjoy spending time at their place in Phoenix and at the family cabin in Saskatchewan with their 4 Children and 9 Grandchildren.
