Established in 1977, the Independent Wine Education Guild (IWEG) is the sole provider in Ontario of both the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Diploma and the French Wine Scholar (FWS) programmes. Our stimulating wine, spirits and beer education programmes are designed to satisfy the needs of the novice, enthusiast and the professional. IWEG’s experienced instructors bring the highest qualifications in North America to the classroom! IWEG is the recipient of the prestigious WSET Achievement Award Award for spearheading establishment of the WSET programme in Canada and for excellence in wine and spirit education. WSET-based programmes, widely considered the "Gold Standard" in wine education, are offered in 55 countries across the globe. IWEG brings focused studies on wine producing regions of the world through top quality programmes such as the French Wine Society Scholar and Master Level courses.
