Truckload trucking (FTL, Full Truck Load) is a method of trucking where only one customer's cargo is in the vehicle. If the cargo does not fill the vehicle completely, it is secured with special devices to reduce the risk of damage due to road jolting. The body of the car when transported by dedicated transport, as a rule, is sealed. The seal is a guarantee that the cargo arrives in the same composition as it was sent.
It is advisable to use this method of transportation if:
- the cargo is going to a specific recipient rather than consisting of numerous shipments; - the cargo fills a significant portion of the transport, - it is necessary to reduce shipping risks because of the exceptional value of the shipment, - the shipment needs to move as quickly as possible, - temperature control is required by means of refrigerated or isothermal transport.
