I spent over twenty years in policing, including 16 years investigating complex money laundering cases. I learned that criminals will hide money through the use of corporations or hide money and assets in foreign locations. I was qualified to provide expert opinion evidence on money laundering issues in both provincial court and superior court. I spent this time building cases against high-level organized crime and have learned that whether money is being hidden from police, tax officials or ex-spouses, the methods are all the same.
I gained significant litigation experience in employment conduct matters with the federal government. After going through my own unnecessarily high-conflict divorce, I am taking the skills I learned over the past two decades and applying it to complex family law financial situations.
