Healing Rivers Physiotherapy, Prince George, BC

Sonja Redden has over 20 years of experience working in physiotherapy. Born and raised in Germany, Sonja relocated to Prince George in 1995, after working in a rehabilitation hospital and private practice. Her local work experience includes working for the Prince George Regional Hospital, with most of her time spent on the surgical and intensive care units. She has also worked in Home and Community Care for Northern Health since 2000. Healing Rivers Physiotherapy, located at the Northern Centre for Integrative Medicine, was started in the spring of 2006, and in her part-time clinic Sonja sees mainly patients with lymphedema, cancer, or chronic pain conditions. She is a member of the following associations: Canadian Physiotherapy Association (pain science division and oncology division) North American Vodder Association of Lymphatic Therapy Physiotherapy Association of B. Healing Rivers has given Sonja the ability to use her experience and knowledge to help people recover and feel better. By running her own business, Sonja can provide for more flexible and longer treatment times with her patients, and is able to understand their needs better. She is extremely dedicated to working with patients so as to provide them with the best available care. She is continually furthering her education and knowledge, ensuring that she stays abreast of recent developments in research. Sonja has volunteered for the City of Prince George (Special Needs Advisory Committee), the More Than A Roof Mennonite Housing Society, and as treasurer for the regional Physiotherapy Association of B. district. She currently is part of the Education Working Group of the Candadian Lymphedema Framework . She enjoys spending her free time with her family, and can often be found canoeing, camping or gardening.
