Grey Nuns Community Hospital, Edmonton, AB

My experience was awful. I went to the hospital emergency because my blood pressure was quite low. I know this because I had worked in an O.R department for 10 years. I had taken my blood pressure on 3 consecutive days and it kept dropping. I was also experiencing very hot urine. I spoke to 2 male nurses who were on duty at the time one of whom took my blood pressure and told me that it was fine. I was told to wait in the waiting room. I sat there for approximately 6 hours. During those long awaited hours. I approached them to inquire how soon can I see a doctor. They kept telling me soon, soon and discussing with their other colleagues that I do not look sick. I had recorded every detail of my visit with names, times, what was discussed and duration. My family would have sued the nurses had anything fatal occurred. I finally saw an older physician who listened to me and ordered a chest x-ray. I was diagnosed with pneumonia. I shall never go to that hospital even if I am dying. The service stinks. I know my body. How dare you tell me that I am not sick.
