With over 20 years of experience, Gairns Santos Engineering Inc. (GSEI) has provided most of its structural engineering and project management services to industry in Northern BC. GSEI is a knowledgeable, conscientious firm that is focused on providing quality and value to our clients. We have an approachable style and work collaboratively with clients and the construction team in order to clearly define the scope of a project, accurately assess conditions and challenges, develop viable options, and present appropriate, practical designs and advice. Much of our work involves designing structures and lifting systems to fit within congested equipment areas and around existing buildings. It's important that new designs fit as required in the intended space. We check our design drawings against information taken from our field measurements, field photos, and existing equipment and building drawings to confirm consistency of dimensions, accuracy, and fit. Sincere effort is applied to make our design drawings clear, detailed, accurate, and complete: minimizing misunderstandings and reducing field extras to the client. We have the capabilities and technical expertise to perform 2D or 3D static or dynamic computer analysis of structures and are current on all structural code requirements. In accordance with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia Bylaw 14(b), GSEI designs receive an in-house design check and independent review. We abide by APEGBC's Code of Ethics.
