Located in Guelph, Ontario, Flourish Design Elements specializes in creating architectural wood carvings such as newel posts for bannisters, corbels, fireplace surrounds and wooden appliques. All of our pieces are made from the highest quality materials available and are designed to provide unique, innovative design details. In addition to members of the stair and railing industry, we also work with interior designers, architecture firms and private homeowners. Our newel posts have been incorporated into designs by Tori Spelling, Lynda Reeves and were featured in the 2012 Princess Margaret Showhome . We specialize in creating carved newel posts and are dedicated to creating a collection of unique and high-quality pieces. We also create coordinating carved fireplace surrounds, corbels and wood appliques to allow you to carry a motif throughout the home. In addition to the items in our catalogue, our experienced staff are also able to create custom newel posts and carvings that are elegant, functional and timeless. No matter how unique or intricate your project, we can make your vision a reality. All of our products are carved in-house and made to order which enables strict quality-control and endless customization without long lead-times. We use only the best grade hardwoods from North America and beautiful exotics from around the world, including South America and Africa, to manufacture these stunning products. Our mills focus on “green” harvesting to ensure only the proper trees get harvested and that more trees are planted for future growth. Each run of product is cut and sorted from the same lift lot of lumber, then book-matched for colour and grain consistency to ensure a nearly seamless lamination process.
