We value the constructive and multi-dimensional engagement of Canada in the diplomatic, defence and developmental fields as the Afghan people rebuild their lives as well as their country following many years of aggression, conflict, disasters and hardship.
Afghans have embarked on the path of democracy and reconstruction, by aiming to restore stability, security, rule of law and human rights under a constitutional regime. These goals are achievable over a period of time, but made easier in partnership with the international community. In that regard, Canada continues to have an active and constructive role in the changes taking place in Afghanistan.
We look forward to working with the executive and legislative branches of the Canadian Government, with the provinces as well as with non-governmental organizations, the academia, the business community and concerned citizens across Canada to bring about more focus, co-operation and exchanges on areas of mutual interest.
