Dr. Barry is a proud Hamiltonian. His pursuit of a career in Chiropractic began after a serious back injury prohibiting from continuing his professional hockey aspirations with the New York Rangers in 1991/92.
His new educational pursuits began at the University of Waterloo where he studied Kinesiology. During his time at Waterloo he spent time as a Anatomy Lab teaching assistant where he gained extraordinary experience while performing dissections and teaching first year students through cadaver laboratory.
In 1995 he was granted advanced standing acceptance to The Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto.
At Graduation in 1999 Dr. Barry was awarded the Chiropractic Science Award for highest proficiency in both academic and technique courses in that department.
Absolute Chiropractic & Wellness opened it's doors in September of 1999. It is now one of Hamilton’s most comprehensive wellness centre's offering services in Family Chiropractic Care, Massage Therapy and Naturopathic Medicine. The clinic shares space with the Hamilton Foot Clinic which provides foot care and orthotics through their team of Podiatrist, Chiropodist and Orthopaedic Surgeons. For extensive rehabilitative services we have a professional relationship with our neighbours at Upper James Physio.
