Dr. Anne Ellis, Kingston, ON

Dr. Ellis is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Queen’s University in Kingston Ontario, with a cross-appointment to the Department of Biomedical and Molecular Sciences. Her role is one of a Clinician Scientist with approximately 75% of her academic portfolio dedicated to research.

She is the Chair of the Division of Allergy & Immunology in the Department of Medicine and the Director of the Environmental Exposure Unit (EEU), a unique, internationally recognized and validated research facility. Under her direction, the EEU provides a controlled allergen challenge for the study of allergic rhinitis and is capable of evaluating up to 150 participants at a time. Her areas of research interest and expertise include clinical trials and basic science investigations of Allergic Rhinitis, as well as umbilical cord blood predictors of future allergies in the newborn.
