Domenic Rosati MD, Hamilton, ON

Dr. Domenic Rosati has been my physician for almost 25 years. He's fantastic! He sees me at 1221 Limeridge Rd. E (Eastmount Family Health Clinic).   He keeps up on current research, and has broad-based knowledge and skills. You may not be aware but he was a pathologist prior to becoming a family doctor. He takes a holistic approach and offers a lot of supplement options to you if you are a patient who dislikes taking prescription drugs because you don't like the side effects of them. During Covid he was an instrumental support to the community. I find him friendly, easy-going, easy to discuss difficult issues, very supportive and he even provides mental health counselling if you are in distress. He has a good sense of humour which he uses to try and  alleviate your anxiety. He always allows you to talk and doesn't dismiss or rush you. He could probably be retired, but fortunately keeps working hard to help us all because what on earth would all of us/ his patients do if he was no longer our doctor? (think of all the people who can't get help due to physician shortages in Canada) He has one of the most accommodating appointment policies whereby if you need to get in 'same-day' at his clinic, then you can. Yes - this sometimes means you have to patiently wait your turn in the waiting room, but where else can you find this? He also will often see the elderly or mothers with babies, more quickly from the waiting room - which shows his empathy and compassion. Finally, his administrative support is Lori and she is the absolute best we've ever had! She is calm, friendly, efficient, and nice to everyone. She makes you feel comfortable and never gets enraged or makes you feel like you have to walk on eggshells, like I'm sure we've all experienced when making other medical appointments in life. I look forward to my interactions with her (and not dreading them, like at some places). I think he may have recently accepted more patients due to overwhelming community need....I'm sure this would be difficult to find anywhere... I'm very grateful for all you help over the years Dr. Rosat!
