Chanpong Brian Dr, Vancouver, BC

Brian Chanpong, DDS MSc (Dental Anesthesia) completed his undergraduate dental degree at the University of Southern California and a three year hospital based residency in anesthesia at the University of Toronto. He is a diplomate of both the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He is currently the president of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology and the secretary of the Canadian Academy of Dentist Anaesthesiologists. He has also served on the board of directors for the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. At the Faculty of Dentistry, University of British Columbia, he is the course director for local anesthesia and sedation. In 2009 and 2013 he received the part-time faculty teaching award from the Faculty of Dentistry, UBC and most recently in 2014 was given the Award of Merit from the College of Dental Surgeons of BC. Chanpong has lectured nationally and internationally on local anesthesia, sedation and general anesthesia for dentistry. In his hometown of Vancouver, BC, he maintains an out-patient anesthesia clinic that provides general anesthesia and sedation services for dentists. Most importantly, he is a very proud father of two wonderful boys!
