Camien Croft Studio of Art, Mount Brydges, ON

Camien Croft Studio of Art is an art studio and gallery opened in 1983 near the village of Mount Brydges in Southwestern Ontario, Canada by local artist Hilary Jennifer Nicpon.

Camien Croft is housed in a 19th century field-stone farmhouse situated on three acres of forest and gardens, encircled by a ravine and stream leading to the Thames River. It is roughly a 30 min drive from London, Ontario, and one hour from the American border.

Hilary chose the name “camien croft” to reflect the dual cultures that exist in her family – her husband Henry is of Polish descent and her own family is of English-Scottish descent. In Polish, “kamien” means “stone” and a “croft” is a rural dwelling in Scotland. Roughly translated, “camien croft” means “stone home”.

In keeping with its surroundings, Camien Croft specializes in art that reflects the rural character of Southwestern Ontario.
