C & r Transmission Service Ltd, Stouffville, ON

Founder, owner and President Gabriel Runza, started C & R Transmission Service Ltd. in 1968. He began in a single bay shop on Golden Gate Court in Scarborough, Ontario as a two man operation servicing mainly automobiles and light to medium duty trucks. As the business flourished, C & R Transmission expanded its services into the field of heavy duty trucks and off-road equipment transmission and differential repair. As the clientele and work load grew, in 1980, C & R Transmission moved to its newly built 7500 square foot building at 16 Laidlaw Blvd., in Markham, Ontario. Word spread about the exceptional quality and service offered there, that by 1985 another 7500 square feet was added to meet the needs of its customers. In the late 1990’s the growing pains began once again. Gabriel had to take a closer look at his future interest and plans for the company. In 2003 a parcel of land was purchased in Uxbridge, Ontario and once again, with his family standing by him, Gabriel began plans for the next expansion. January 1st, 2006, C & R Transmission opened the doors at 13 Anderson Blvd., Uxbridge. A 20, 610 square foot state of the art building consisting of 9 drives thru bays, a much larger 5000 square foot rebuild shop, and a 4000 square foot parts department.
