barebirch are a family business in the truest sense of the word. While you might have seen all four of us (Simon, Joey, me, and the dog) in the store, my extended family has been a huge influence. At any given time you might find one or two of my uncles or my mom puttering around fixing displays or helping a customer. Even my sister and brother-in-law have been seen working hard behind the cash desk. The store wouldn’t be what it is today without their help and hard work. Design is all around us affecting the way we feel and the way we see the world. We built barebirch on the philosophy that your space can have a profound influence on your mood. It can inspire you to get up and go, do, and produce. A comfortable, beautiful room can give you a sense of well-being. It doesn’t matter what colours you like, what fabrics you prefer, or what your style is. If you choose the right pieces, your space can help you be more productive, calm, more energetic, or social.
