ALPHA Exploration Inc. (TSX.V: AEX) is a mineral exploration company focused on uranium in the Athabasca Basin in northern Saskatchewan, Canada. The Company is based in Vancouver and its common shares are listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol “AEX”. Alpha is well financed to actively explore a portfolio of early-stage properties. Technical reports are available on SEDAR (www.sedar.com) for four of the Company’s active properties. Alpha continually and proactively reviews opportunities for new properties, whether by staking, joint venture or acquisition.
Through its predecessor ESO Uranium and Alpha Minerals (“AMW”), Alpha Exploration has been exploring a variety of uranium properties in the Athabasca Basin in Northern Saskatchewan, for the last 10 years. . This work culminated in the discovery of the PLS deposit in November 2012, with (50%-50%) Joint Venture partner Fission Energy.
AMW played an integral role, with Fission, in the acquisition, exploration, discovery, and delineation of the Patterson Lake deposit (“PLS”), which has the potential to be a material development in the world’s premier high grade uranium district, period.
In November, 2013, shareholders of AMW approved a transaction valued at $189 Million, whereby Alpha Minerals was acquired by Fission Uranium Corp. Concurrently with closing of the Fission transaction, all of AMW’s other mineral properties, plus $3M in cash, were transferred to AEX. The transaction was structured as a plan of arrangement and all shareholders of AMW received shares of AEX, which commenced trading on the TSX Venture Exchange on December 12, 2013, under the symbol AEX.
