AgeCare Walden Heights, Calgary, AB

My mother has made her home at Agecare Walden Heights for more than 5 years. She has enjoyed every aspect of the safe, clean and modern facility. She especially enjoys having her hair done by Dee at her "Beehive". The recreation team do a good job of keeping residents entertained and engaged even in these difficult "Covid" times. Prior to Covid there was regular entertainment with things like Elvis impersonators, line dancers to name a few The nursing staff are friendly, patient and caring. In my opinion, and my mothers, she has always been treated with respect and as a person not a patient. An example of the level of person time given to each resident would have to be (for my Mom & I) the number of times a HCA has painted my Mom's nails. My mothers case worker provides yet another example of going the extra mile, she is always available to me and keeps me up to date as my Mothers health requirements have changed. On that note I would be remiss in not mentioning that my mothers doctor (the one she got through Walden) calls me to discuss my Mother health. Something I had never experienced prior to Walden. I highly recommend Walden Heights when living at home is no longer an option.
