Heidi is an Accredited Family Mediator, Certified Child Protection Mediator and a Certified Solution-Focused Therapist. She has been mediating family and civil conflict since 1999. Heidi received her mediation training from York University and Harvard Law School. She received extensive training in the field of Solution Focused Brief Therapy from leading North American universities. She is also certified by and a member of the International Mediation Institute, and a lifetime member of the Family Mediation Canada.
Heidi has successfully mediated over 1, 000 cases for couples and families including those related to property division as well as support and parenting plans. She has extensive experience with high conflict cases and. Heidi has many years experience mediating child protection cases and is a member of the Child Protection Mediation Provincial Roster. In addition to her work with
families, Heidi has mediated a wide range of civil and business disputes, including a number of complex and high profile cases.
Heidi is a roster mediator with a number of organizations, and supervises intern training. In connection with her work, she received the University of Toronto’s J.K. Leadership Award for Excellence in Solution Focused Counselling in 2011, and was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012.
