Earth Friendly Distributors (EFD) was founded by Al and Gina Shimoda in 2005. Prior to establishing EFD, Al had been the Executive Assistant to the Consul General of Japan at Edmonton, building relationships between Canadian and Japanese business. After 13 years of service at the Consulate, Al decided to utilize his skills in private business. Gina is a trained Occupational Therapist, who after the birth of their first child, became more sensitive to the impact of chemicals and pollutants in the environment
