Berg started his men’s wear store in 1946, just after WW II. For his entire life Val was a great booster of Edmonton and a friend of almost every man who worked hard to make the city what it is. Val supported the teams and the golfers; he supported the community builders, the volunteers, and the fundraisers. Being a clothier, he wanted all men to make a good first impression wherever they went, whatever they were doing; at work, as volunteers, or socializing. A second generation of owners remains just as committed as ever - to great clothing, just right for the wearer. If the first impression is just right, everything afterward is just a little easier. For nearly 70 years Val Berg’s has been owned and operated by Edmontonians dedicated to the men’s wear business. Having the right merchandise, best sales staff, master tailors and a convenient store location has proven to be a consistent winning formula for the Val Berg’s group.
