ECAC is an established church under the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination. If you would like more information about the denomination, feel free to visit their official Canadian and American sites. Edmonton Chinese Alliance Church (ECAC) was founded by Reverend Peter and Mrs. Rhoda Poon on October 17, 1969, when they moved from Hong Kong to start the church. Initially held at Beulah Alliance for the first few meetings, the existing church building was finally bought in 1972. Over the next ten years, two church planting initiatives were completed: forming North Edmonton Alliance Church in 1984 and South Edmonton Alliance Church four years later. ECAC has grown over the years to now hold Sunday morning services in English (EMC), Cantonese (CMC), Mandarin (MMC). Due to the wonderful growth of the church, ECAC recently purchased a future church planting site and is now actively designing the building that will sit at the location of 199th St. and 50th Ave.
