Brent Kennedy Elementary is an awesome rural K-6 school of 232 students. The school is located twenty kilometers west of Nelson, at the southernmost end of the Slocan Valley, in School District #8 (Kootenay Lake). Students from eight small communities take the bus to school each day School starts at 8:35 and ends at 2:35. Our morning recess starts at 10:25 and ends at 10:42 am. We have a “play-first eat second” lunch that starts at 12:15 am and finishes at 1:10 pm.
