Her life however took her into a long and successful career in banking, from which Susan retired early. Upon retirement Susan was fortunate to be partnered with John Ashby - CSA. John has a significant medical background, which includes his 15 years as a paramedic, his own air ambulance business, and his ongoing involvement in the care of brain injury and mental health diagnosis clients. Together Susan & John formed Signature Care, the first Canadian membership partner of . John & Susan have both earned their designation as (CSA) & have become associate trainers of the Best Friends approach to dementia care - a program endorsed by the . In November 2006 Signature Care was honored with the Better Business Bureau of Southern Alberta's Business Ethics Award in the small business category.
