Our family run business opened in 1983 with the intention of being the best. We've achieved our goal and are now proudly serving many repeat customers. Our customers look to us because of Barry's expertise in industry products and home automation. We are constantly upgrading and training to ensure top of the line installation and application of new electrical and automation products. Our company is committed to great quality and incredible service. We strive to deliver on these expectations every time. Barry and Sue Wentz created B.D.W. in 1983 out of their home. Since then our company has grown significantly. Barry received his Masters License from SAIT in 1981 and has been active in the industry since 1970. As office manager, Sue handles all aspects of day to day business with a emphasis on organization. Sue is also responsible for the entire accounting department. B.D.W. is a proud member of the Electrical Contractors Association of Alberta (ECAA) and Barry holds a seat on the executive board.

Grand West Electric was founded in 2002 by Gabriel Rosati and Anthony Dallazanna. Having worked together at Inlet Electric for many years, the two recognized the possibilities and potential in venturing into the Calgary market. Gabe started his career as an electrical apprentice in the mid 1970s and achieved his Journeyman Electrician IP ticket in 1978. In the 1980s, he worked his way up to foreman and eventually site superintendent. A desire for more responsibility inspired Gabe to advance his career further by taking numerous professional development courses. He worked his way up the corporate ladder from estimator to project manager and finally to senior project manager in the 1990s. Gabe’s work ethic and expertise has been a driving force behind Grand West Electric’s success in the Alberta market.
