Family Matters Centre (FMC) offers in-person individual counselling and therapeutic groups for kids, adolescents, and teens in the Burlington, Oakville, Milton, and Hamilton areas. We have experience providing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for anxious, angry, and depressed children and teens, as well as therapy for teens with low self-esteem and therapy to help children improve their social skills. Parents can receive marriage counselling, parenting therapy, and co-parenting counselling. We also provide strategies to help kids cope with separation and divorce. At various times, support groups are offered for children and teens on topics such as: anger, anxiety, bullying, mindfulness, family changes, and self-esteem.
